This eight-week class is for banjoists who have memorized beginner tunes in the book and can already handle playing the intermediate arrangements. We will focus on working through a selection of the advanced tunes, which will allow us to dig into source recordings of the two-finger banjo icons I have transcribed. We will play in a variety of uncommon tunings, work on emphasis and expression, and focus on minutiae as well as the big picture.

Videos of each class are available for registered students to watch on demand, and remain accessible after the course ends, so it’s okay if you can’t make each class meeting at the appointed time.
